Natural Shine is committed to using only the safest ingredients and non toxic products to clean your home or work space. We use mostly all handmade cleaners that we make personally in bulk. Ingredients for our products include vinegar, essential oils (peppermint, tea tree, orange), castile soap, olive oil, and baking soda. There are also a few products we use which we purchase that are chemical free, plant based, and certified safe by the USDA.

Baking Soda

  • odor absorbing mineral made from soda ash
  • deodorizing, absorbs odors from the air
  • gentle, mild abrasive cleanser
  • non-toxic

Sea Salt

  • grease buster
  • effective, non-scratching cleaner
  • antibacterial, through a dehydrating action
  • absorbs oils readily
  • cleans copper
  • natural whitener

White Vinegar

  • cuts grease and grime
  • dissolves soap film build-up and leftover mineral deposits from evaporated water
  • great cleaning rinse
  • inhibits mold growth and prevents mildew
  • freshens air, powerful deodorizer

Peppermint Essential Oil

  • antiseptic, bacteria inhibiting properties
  • refreshing, and even edible, food-grade peppermint essential oil makes a great cleaning fragrance
  • uplifting and energizing, which can be helpful when cleaning bathrooms

Australian Tea Tree Essential Oil

  • broad spectrum fungicide and bactericide
  • disinfectant
  • anti-mildew and antiseptic
  • smells super clean

And of course water! Water is a universal solvent and increases the effectiveness of all our cleaning recipes.

Why did we choose these products?

  • Disposal of hazardous household products is becoming an increasingly expensive problem for many municipalities, as they try to avoid contamination of local water and air.
  • The VOC’s and POP’s found in many chemical cleaners are… simply put… endangering our earth!
  • All our purchased products are rated “A” with the EWG. The EWG is a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to protecting human health and the environment and safety rates most cleaners and sanitizers on the market today.
